Plockelman Design is a full service Interior Design Studio, offering services ranging from entire ground-up new builds and complete renovation and extension of existing properties to consultations for smaller projects including individual room upgrades and overall schematic theming.

Each project is different and requires a unique approach to meet the full potential of your home. Using some or all of these services I will create innovative solutions for your specific design needs:

Initial Design Consultation

All projects, whether big or small, begin with an in-person, on-site 1.5 - 2 hour design consultation. This gives me a chance to see your space and talk through your desired outcome from the interior project you are embarking on.

I will gain an understanding of how you live in your space, really get to know your priorities, individual needs, requirements from the upgrade/renovation and get an opportunity to discuss your budget. To make the most out of this time, I advise clients to think about what they are hoping to achieve with the work in advance, gather relevant imagery and to list the issues they are seeking to address.

During the meeting we will discuss solutions/ideas and after I will follow-up with a comprehensive list of flushed out thoughts and ideas from our discussion, an action list and relevant imagery. This may be enough for small consultative projects where you just need some guidance and wish to implement the outcome yourself.

For bigger jobs this meeting will be an opportunity to really set the parameters for your project, get an understanding of the scope of work and desired outcome. My post-meeting follow up for bigger projects will include a detailed client brief and scope of work followed by a fee proposal.

The fee for this initial consultation service is €250 (inc VAT)

Interior Consultation/Interior Styling

On smaller jobs, clients often require consultative advice and guidance. For instance, you wish to freshen up your home with new furnishings or perhaps bespoke shelving with minimal upheaval. With an Interior Consultation, I will provide you with a package which may include bespoke joinery designs, room layouts and product details. I can also project manage the work, if needed, working with your chosen tradesperson or with one of my trusted trade partners.

Interior Styling is often the last step in a full Interior Architectural project: sourcing art and accessories and styling them with all of the chosen furniture pieces, to leave the home turn-key ready for the client. It can also work as a standalone service for clients who wish to freshen up their home, declutter, make the most of their existing pieces and even add some newer pieces.

Interior Architecture: Full Design and Project Management

A full Interior Architecture project is when a client is looking to undertake a new build, re-configure the interior of an existing home or add an extension. Working from concept to completion, following agreement on the scope of work and fee proposal, this type of project typically involves:

  • SCHEMATIC DESIGN: Developing a full concept design and space planning and layout options for all areas of your project.

  • DESIGN DEVELOPMENT: Detailing and developing the agreed design. This will include: detailed design drawing pack (kitchen design, layouts, bespoke joinery, lighting design, wall and ceiling finishes etc.); material specification for floor, walls, window treatments and sourcing finishes and fixtures.

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT & SOURCING: Organising tendering, site management, overseeing implementation of design, liaising with contractors, various trades, kitchen manufactures etc. Procuring and scheduling furniture, fixtures and fittings.

  • INTERIOR STYLING: The final step for turn-key jobs where the house is fully finished with everything ready and in place.
